From pink to light blue, from pop to pastel, Valentine Reinhardt likes to juggle colors and shades to create her sublime landscapes. She will present a series of unpublished photographs and illustrations in her exhibition ” Drôles de zèbres “ starting Sunday, August 20 in Providence.

“I love Disney drawings, like” The Jungle Book “,” The Lion King “or” The Little Mermaid “”, claims the 33-year-old artist. Childhood and dreams occupy a central place in the creations of the painter who has been trained at the graphic art school of Penninghen in Paris. Between photography and painting, Valentine Reinhardt draws all the palettes of her imagination and her old Barbie doll outfit, to make large jungle panels, like those of Douanier Rousseau.

Today in freelance, the surfer born in Biarritz works for advertising and on the illustration of music videos for artists. She has collaborated with singer Sébastien Tellier for his album “L’Aventura” released in 2014, where her characters are imprinted with Greek mythology crossing her jungles where plants flourish. Recently, she also directed the videoclip of the English musician Youngr.

At Providence, Valentine Reinhardt is a regular. Already in 2012, she came to exhibit her series of photographs “Nature Vivante” and then her illustrations of “Tropical Journey” in 2014. The painter likes to meet her friends in the gallery of Guéthary, “a little paradise still a little protected” according to her.
